Udyog Mitra organises meet with Ludhiana exporters

LUDHIANA: Udyog Mitra, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar in association with Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) organised an apparel meet at Ludhiana on Friday.

The objective of the meeting was to showcase initiatives taken by Bihar government to attract investment in apparel and textile sector.

Dr S Siddharth, IAS and Principal Secretary of Bihar government gave a detailed presentation on policy initiative, infrastructure, ease of doing business, land availability, skilled labourer etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Siddharth said, “Around 2000 acres of land is available with our state government and it is ready to be allotted as per requirement of investor. Skilled labour availability is the strength of our state and we have launched an online single window clearance system wherein investor can submit proposal for investment from anywhere in the world and approval will be granted to him online”

Harish Dua, EC member of AEPC and leading exporter thanked the visiting delegation and assured them that a delegation of city industrialists will visit Bihar soon after which they will make their decision about investment in the state. Narender Chugh, Premi Lal members of AEPC and other exporters from leading business houses of Ludhiana were also present in the meeting.
