New Delhi: The Bihar Pavilion is living up to its “Start up India” theme.
The deputy director of the department of industry and Start up India in-charge of Bihar Pavilion Sanjay Singh said: “Around 3,000 deputation were registered in Start up India-based Standup India and 32 participants were selected.” He said the process of selection was done in the presence of Bihar industries minister Jai Kumar Singh and principal secretary of the department S. Siddhartha.
Bihar Pavilion director Umesh Kumar Singh said out of 32 start-ups, 14 start-ups were given place in eight stalls. At the same time, he said there are 16 stalls in the Bihar Pavilion, of which eight are for the start-ups and the remaining are displaying Madhubani painting, stone craft, jute jewellery, stone craft, khadi, pusa honey and others.
At the same time, live demos of Mithila painting has caught people’s attention at the Bihar Pavilion in the 37th India International Trade Fair, 2017.
