The Government of Bihar presented the investment opportunities in Bihar during the meeting of all Japanese companies in India. The meeting was held in the Japanese Embassy in Delhi on 20th September 2018.
The Ambassador of Japan in India, Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, chaired the meeting. The meeting was attended by all the representatives and head of Japanese companies in India. There were 150 Japanese companies present in the meeting.
The Indian delegation was headed by Principal Secretary, Industries Dr. S. Siddharth and he was accompanied by Mr R S Srivastav, Investment Commissioner, Government of Bihar.
A presentation on opportunities in Investment in Bihar was made by the Principal Secretary, Industries. This was a follow up meeting to the visit of the Hon’ble Chief Minister to Japan.
Bihar has offered land for investment by Japanese companies in Food Processing Sector, tourism, IT manufacture and Design and Textile Sector. Bihar has also offered assistance for developing Industrial Parks on Japanese standards and also setting up of a MSME Financing Special Purpose Vehicle.
A one-to-one meeting was also held with Mr Kenko Sone, Minister (Economic & Development) in the Embassy to decide the road ahead. The Principal Secretary invited the entire Japanese industrialists to visit Bihar. A delegation of Japanese industrialist may soon visit Bihar.
